Street coming in to the old Muu Muu cottages

Now called "las Sirenas" and you can make reservations on-line on their website!

At the bottom of the hill, before you go on to the beach, there is a huge arbor of bouganvilla now that shades your walk on to the beach

If you have been there, you remember
this scene with that bohio

The view to the right as you come out of the arch

Looking down from the bohio

Other view down from the bohio

There are 5 cottages-- we stayed in #1 --1st photo
Growing up we stayed in #5 on the end
near the hill -- 2nd photo
The other photos show cottage 1 on the inside - I think they are all like
this, 1 bedroom, except #3 is 2 bedroom.
You can sleep two people/kids out on the bench seats in the liviting room so the 1 bedroom could sleep family of 4

For those who knew where I lived in Balboa . . . The first 2 photos are of the house I grew up in.... 2238=B Carr Street!
At one time Mirla Hansen lived accross the street, Daryl Tipton lived to one side and the Urbach family was in side A! Gabriella and Michelle Jaen lived behind us...

This was taken at my daughter Anna's piano recital, she wrangled me into doing
a duet with her
and even though we messed up a little, she was pleased and the rest of the audience
didn't seem to mind!
This is a photo of me in front of the mural I did for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium . . . it is a great non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue/rehabilitation and release (if possible) of marine mammals and wildlife. Their most famous resident is the dolphin named Winter - she has been featured on the Today show! It's a great place to visit if you are in Tampa/St. Pete... just remodeled and this was part of it. A friend from work & I each had a 10x11 foot wall. Mine is a green sea turtle and hers is of dolphins as the main subject. It was a lot of fun & something we both said we would like to do more of.
